Hotel first. Then the ship.
Train with us for a full year. Work in a hotel and build experience. Then get ready for a cruise career, step by step — with our support all the way. Students from across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana train with us in Visakhapatnam.
Is this diploma for you?
This diploma is for young people who dream of working on a cruise ship — and want to get there the right way, not the risky way.
You have passed 10th class (SSC) and you are 18 or older. Cruise-line age and experience rules vary by role.
You want to work on a cruise ship one day, and you want a clear plan to get there.
Most cruise jobs need hotel experience first. You are ready to build that experience and earn while you do.
How cruise hiring actually works
Many families are told “pay us and you will be on a ship in 6 months.” That is not how it works. Here are the real rules.
Cruise lines hire Indian crew only through recruitment agencies licensed by DG Shipping. These are called RPSL agencies. This is the only legal route to a cruise job from India.
Licensed agencies do not charge you a job fee. If someone asks you for money to “get you a job” on a ship, that is a warning sign.
Most guest-facing cruise jobs usually need 1–2 years of hotel experience. A few entry roles, like assistant cabin steward, may take freshers.
The cruise line makes the hiring decision. Not us, and not any institute.
This is why we do not sell “a ship in 6 months.” We help you climb a ladder, one step at a time.
Shore. Coast. Sea.
Three steps. Each step gives you experience for the next one.
Train with us. Get placed in a hotel. Earn a salary while you build experience.
Work on an Indian cruise line for real ship experience. Indian cruise ships now sail from Vizag — for example, Cordelia Cruises.
When you are sea-ready, apply to international cruise lines through licensed recruitment agencies.
V Cruise Ships has no tie-up or partnership with any hotel, cruise line or recruitment agency. Every employer makes its own hiring decision.
Hotel skills first
You learn the four main hotel departments — the same work you will do on a cruise ship.
Restaurant and banquet service. Setting tables, taking orders and serving guests.
Preparing guest rooms to hotel standard. Cleaning, linen and public areas.
Welcoming guests. Check-in and check-out. Calls and guest requests.
Kitchen basics. Hygiene, safe food handling and simple cooking.
You also practise, every week: spoken English, grooming and interview skills.
Everything in the Hotel Operations Diploma, plus the sea-ready stage
1 year of training, English, grooming and interview skills, and hotel placement support. We work with you until you are placed in a hotel role.
Step-by-step guidance to complete STCW basic safety training at a DG Shipping-approved centre. This course is needed before you can work at sea.
Guidance to get your INDoS number, your CDC (the seafarer ID book) and your medical fitness check.
Practice for the English tests that cruise hiring often includes.
Cruise-style mock interviews, a cruise-ready CV, and grooming for cruise lines.
Preparation for interviews with DG Shipping-licensed recruitment agencies — the only legal route to a cruise job.

Classroom lessons and hands-on practice in all four hotel departments, plus English, grooming and interviews.
We help with your CV and hotel interviews. We work with you until you are placed in a hotel role.
You earn a salary and build the hotel experience that cruise lines look for.
While you work, we guide you through STCW, INDoS, CDC and medical, and prepare you for English tests and cruise interviews.
When you are sea-ready, you apply through licensed recruitment agencies. The cruise line makes the hiring decision.
Our support does not stop when the classroom training ends. This is not a promise that you will be on a ship by a certain date. Most cruise jobs want 1–2 years of hotel experience, so many students keep working in a hotel before they join a ship.
The simple facts
Who pays for what
Fees and the installment plan are shared on enquiry — explained to you directly, before you pay anything.
Official fees (STCW centre, INDoS, CDC, medical, passport) are paid directly by you to the official bodies. We do not collect them.
The visa is paid by the employer. We never collect visa money.
What we do, in honest words
We train you and work with you until you are placed in a hotel role. Then we guide your sea-ready stage and prepare you for licensed agency interviews.
We do not promise a job. We do not collect visa money or job fees. We do not claim tie-ups with any cruise line.
The hotel decides who it hires. The cruise line makes the hiring decision for cruise jobs.
Questions students and parents ask
Do you guarantee a job?
No. No one can legitimately guarantee a hotel job or a cruise job. The hotel and the cruise line make the hiring decisions. What we do instead: we train you, work with you until you are placed in a hotel role, and prepare you step by step for cruise interviews through licensed agencies.
I live outside Visakhapatnam. Can I join?
Yes. Students from across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana join us. The training is in person in Visakhapatnam. You can start by phone or WhatsApp video call, and visit with a parent when you are ready. Students from other towns can stay in our hostel. Ask us for the details when we speak, and we will guide you honestly.
Will I be on a ship straight after the diploma?
Not necessarily. Most cruise jobs want 1–2 years of hotel experience, and the cruise line decides when to hire you. Our support continues until you are ready for cruise interviews. We will be honest with you about where you stand.
Do I have to pay a recruitment agency?
Licensed recruitment agencies do not charge you a job fee. If anyone asks you for money to get a cruise job, speak to us or your family first.
Who pays for STCW, INDoS, CDC, medical and passport?
You pay these official fees directly to the official bodies. We do not collect them. We guide you through each step.
Who pays for the visa?
The visa is paid by the employer. We never collect visa money.
What are your fees?
Fees and the installment plan are shared on enquiry. We explain them to you directly, in person, before you pay anything.
Can I start with Hotel Operations and upgrade later?
Yes. Any Hotel Operations student can upgrade to the Shore to Sea Diploma later. You pay only the difference.
Do you have a tie-up with a cruise line?
No. We do not claim any tie-up or partnership with any hotel, cruise line or recruitment agency. Employers make their own hiring decisions.
